12 Inches In 24 Hours

Snow happens in a lot of places. Snow happens in West Kentucky. This much snow rarely happens. I was born before/during the “blizzard” of ’78. The stories say there were between 3 and 4 feet of snow. Some time in the early ’90s we got a few inches, but less than a foot. Last year we got a few inches that stuck around for nearly a week, until it was grey and gross.

This is an unusual amount of snow that will not be going away any time soon. Lows in the negatives and highs not breaking above freezing, the possibility of more this weekend?!

Why is this town so flat, especially when I know where there is a vintage Burton Kelly Air snowboard in my size?!
